Weekend Activities ~ 2010

In the evenings why not play a game of mini golf, browse our Country Store and on Friday and Saturday Evening join us for a Movie! (Bring a lawn chair or blanket) & don’t forget to purchase your movie refreshments ( Popcorn, Nachos, Drinks etc.)

*At check-in we will have the weekends schedule of events printed- please feel free to ask for one.

*Activities will vary, but each weekend of events, we try to include Crafts, Games, Contests & Coloring, that coincide with that weekend. Small fees may apply.
** Please understand that all Activities/Events are subject to change without notice, but we will make every effort to keep on schedule.

April 30-May 2 – Military Service Appreciation
“Special Thank You Discount” for: Armed Services, 30% discount on Camping fees for all active and retired Military.(ID required)

May 7-9 ~ Mother's Day
Special Gift Basket drawing for one special mom. Each mom camping with us receives a free game of mini golf. Bring mom camping and get 10% off your stay.

May 14-16 ~ Scout Appreciation Weekend
We are honoring our Boy and Girl Scouts by inviting them to camp with us for ½ price- Fill your weekend with lots of outdoor activities, fun and games that the Leaders have chosen for you.

May 28-31 ~ Memorial Day
If you haven’t been out camping yet this year it's time to start! Break out the BBQ, swimsuits and suntan lotion and join us as Summer fun begins! Site Decorating Contest.

June 11-13 ~ Chocolate Lovers Weekend
It’s a kid's and adult's dream come true! Our activities will be oriented around that delicious sweetness that so many of us just cannot do without –Prepare to get messy!

June 18-20~Father's Day/Get Wild, & Feel Wonderful WV Day
Family fun for dad and the kids – mom can sit back and watch and laugh.

June 25-27 – Water Wars!
Bring your water guns and buckets! Beat the Summer heat & prepare to get WET!! Kids Wagon ride thru the campground, looking for their targets. Parents, Family and Friends that are waiting at sites to battle: If you don’t want to participate we suggest you stay inside of your camper.

July 1-5 -Independence Day Celebration
Happy Birthday USA! Celebrate the best place to be… with us here at the Campground! Decorate your site, your bicycles & Golf Carts for the parade. You can enjoy a nice display of fireworks in the town of Summersville! Pet talent show, Smokey Bear, Glow in the dark parade.

July 9-11 – Pirates Weekend
Ahoy Mateys!! Walk the plank on down to Mountain Lake Campground for fun and adventures.

July 16-18 - Hawaiian Luau AND Talent show (Bring whatever you need for talent show)
Aloha! Need that Tropical Island getaway feeling? Come spend the weekend with us! Decorate your site for the occasion. Let's have some fun. Can you sing? Play any musical instruments? Have special talents? Do Magic? Puppets? Then we are looking for you! Prizes WILL be given!

July 19-25– Christmas in July
To help keep you “Cool” in the middle of Summer, why not think of winter? Come join us as Santa stops by. Decorate your site for the occasion.

July 30-Aug1 – 50’s Weekend
Time for a blast from the past! Car Show Cruise in, dance, DJ. Join us for a look back at the good ‘Ol times!

August 6-8 – S’more Water Wars!
Bring your water guns and buckets! Prepare to get WET!! Kids Wagon ride thru the campground, looking for their targets. Parents, Family and Friends that are waiting at sites to battle: If you don’t want to participate we suggest you stay inside of your camper.

August 13-15- Hoe down on the Mountain
Use this weekend just to “sit a spell”-- There will be a ‘lil something for everyone. Music, DanceTeam, Cloggers.

August 20-22 – Country Fair at the Campground
Wristband Special- Game Booths, Crafts.

September 3-6 - Labor Day Celebration
Take time just to relax from your labors and enjoy the weekend!

September 10-12 – Emergency Service Personnel "Thank You"
30% off stay, ID required.

September 17-20 – Celebrate Fall / Appreciation Dinner
We are thankful for all our Guests, new ones as well as those faithful returning. We would like to invite you to join us for our annual Dinner on Saturday. Mountain Lake will be providing the Plates, Cups, Napkins, Cutlery, Drinks and Dessert. We ask that each family please bring 2 dishes. Sign up in the store and list what you will be bringing.

September 24-26 – Spooks and Spirits Weekend
Decorate your site for the occasion & bring costumes for contest and trick-or-treating (child, adult and pets). Wagon ride trick-or-treating for the kids. Bring a bag of candy if you want to participate. Hot apple cider, hot chocolate and more.

October 1-3 – Spook-tacular Weekend
Decorate your site for the occasion & bring costumes for contest and trick-or-treating (child, adult and pets). Wagon ride trick-or-treating for the kids. Bring a bag of candy if you want to participate.

October 8-11 – Monster Mash Dance/Columbus Day Weekend
Decorate your site for the occasion & bring costumes for contest and trick-or-treating (child, adult and pets). Wagon ride trick-or-treating for the kids. Bring a bag of candy if you want to participate. Monster Mash dance with prizes.

October 15-17 – Bridge Day Weekend –
Enjoy the Fall Foliage while camping with us and attend the local Bridge Day events.

October -(TBA) Annual Haunted Trail at Mountain Lake Campground
Have a Spook-tacular weekend with us!! Do you dare walk the trail? Special Country Store sales as well as at our snack bar. Scary Movies all evening. Campers and the general public are all invited. There is an admission charge.
